Enter, print and export motions

Enter

Please note when entering motions to OpenSlides:

We strongly recommend removing formatting before pasting into OpenSlides.
Since editing in Office applications and in the web browser are based on different processes, copying with pre-formatting may cause problems.

Ideally, motions should be created and edited immediately in OpenSlides, without going through Office applications such as LibreOffice or MircrosoftWord.

Export

In OpenSlides you have 4 different export options for the motions:
In the detailed view to the applications you have the possibility to change the view next to the button with the line numbering:
  • Original version
  • Changed version
  • Diff version
  • Final version
Then you can click on PDF for saving or printing via the 3-point menu in the upper right corner.

You also have the option to adjust the final version if you select the display mode final print template in the motion. This representation is available if the motion is accepted, here the final version of the motion can be adjusted, for example, to resolve competing amendments.

Amendments

You can give groups of participants the right to make amendments to motions.

When you are in the view of a motion, you can create an amendment to one or more sections in the motion via the [+] icon in the top right corner.

Under > Settings > Motions you can also make some default settings for amendments. For example, you can set a prefix for amendments here, so that they are easier to recognise in the overview of all motions.
