Common presentation and formatting errors - and how to avoid them!

Currently, there are minor bugs with the PDF export of motions where the formatting needs to be adjusted slightly to ensure the motions are displayed nicely:
  • Nested bulleted/enumerated lists: In the PDF export, nested lists cannot be displayed, even if they are shown correctly online on OpenSlides.
  • Breaks due to formatting: In the PDF, line breaks are inserted if further formatting is used within an enumeration/list, e.g. italic, bold, superscript/ subscript text. For the PDF export it is recommended here to (temporarily) remove this formatting and avoid such formatting combinations.

In addition, the following difficulties can occur with motion amendments:
  • If more than one line of a motion in OpenSlides is proposed to be changed by an amendment, the line numbers must be hidden before copying, otherwise they will be copied along in the HTML code and the PDF export will no longer be possible.
  • In general, it is recommended to delete the formatting before copying and pasting a text into OpenSlides. This is possible by selecting the entire pasted text in the editor and then clicking on Tx (Remove formatting).
