Speaker list, what it can do!

The speaker list is a small but very powerful tool!

In combination with the speaking time limit or the countdown, it creates a great transparency and orientation for all delegates and the assembly chair.

Nevertheless, a speaker list must always be moderated by a "human".

If, for example, you want to map a quota of gender groups, the gender must be stored in the participant records. In the admin view, the gender is displayed in the speech list, which can then be used to control moderation.

If you want to display a random draw of speakers, for example, it is advisable to use an additional tool. In the classic analog case a simple urn, or for example the following online tool: https://random-ize.com/randomize-list/

Hints and tips

  • Speakers can also be removed or deleted from the list.
  • Each agenda item has its own, self-contained speaker list.
  • Speaker lists can be closed or deactivated (group and rights management --> "Can see list of speakers").
  • Entries on the speaker list can be marked as forspeech or counter speech. To do this, go to Settings > Agenda and check the box "Enable forspeech / counter speech".
  • With the right "Can manage list of speakers", you have the option of marking speakers with a star, e.g. for introducing motions. To do this, the "Enable star icon to mark speaker" checkbox must be set under > Settings > Agenda.
